124 W. John St (Old Town Library)

Formerly the original Town of Matthews Library dating back to the 60's, was a victim of several adhoc renovations over the years. The new scope of work was to renovate and update the entire building back to its' Mid-Century Modern form. The once monolithic block and brick building was carefully sculpted to bring in larger amounts of natural light and to create a more welcoming street presence.
